When will I know if my paper/panel proposal has been accepted?

Our committee is at the moment proceeding to the reviewing and selection of the sessions. We will let you know the outcome of the reviewing process as soon as possible, before the end of December 2011.


Will I receive an official invitation letter from the conference organizers if my proposal has been accepted?

Many of you have asked us for an official invitation letter for visa and subvention application. Should your proposal be accepted, you will receive a personalized letter of acceptance as soon as possible, before the end of December 2011.


Should my proposal be accepted, will I have to send a full-text version of my paper or just an abstract?

It will depend on the organizer of the session your paper will have been included in. He/she might ask you for a full-text version of your paper during the month that precedes the conference, but it is not a condition to participate.


My funds are limited, may I apply for a grant to take part to the conference?

The Association for Cultural Studies will offer a small number of grants to assist participants from ACS under-represented regions with travel accommodation or registration expenses. The Assistance Scheme has now been launched. To know more about conditions and procedure, please check the Grants section on the conference website.


How can I register to the conference?

You can now register to Crossroads 2012 on the conference website in the Registration section.


What do conference fees cover?

Conference fees give you the right to attend every session of the conference Crossroads 2012 but do not cover meals, travel, accommodation, tours or insurance. However, a welcome-kit including in particular the detailed conference brochure will be distributed to every participant. See the Conference Fee section for further information.


I am a PhD student, can I benefit from the student fare to register to the conference?

Yes you can. The student fare applies to PhD students.


May I attend the conference as a simple member of the audience?

Yes you may. But please note that you will nevertheless have to pay conference fees to register.


Who should I contact if I have questions about the conference?

All questions concerning the payments and the registrations, please contact ACS at info@cultstud.org

What can I do if I did not receive any notification concerning the status of my proposal?

The reviewing process of the proposals has now come to an end. If you have not received any notification of acceptance or refusal for your proposal(s) you can send us an email at crossroads2012@puniv-paris3.fr.
